Ava made some breakfast tacos and wished us the best. We again left a great host. We decided that we would go the 60 some miles to Post instead of the 110 to Lubbock.
It got really hot today but luckily the wind was not so bad. We stopped quite a bit but made good time. The whole way was lined with oil wells and windmills it was kind of unbelievable. Once in post some 67 miles later we stopped at the dollar general and when I got out Charlie was talking to Trey. He offered to let us stay with his family and we could have his basement to sleep in. He has a really nice house an family and we spent the evening relaxing talking, and playing pool. Trey is amazing he even ran out and got us steaks.
Tomorrow we head to Lubbock.
My Uncle Charlie and I will be biking across the southern USA Starting March 10th. Once reaching CA Charlie will stop but I will then continue north and back across the north. Below is a map that shows an idea of what our route will be, as we are planning it on the road. The map will have uploads of our track as we go. We will greatly appreciate any place to stay and any suggestions of places to visit. Thank you, Austin Fox

Great job guys! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're eating better on the road than I am at home! Looks like I need to go buy some steaks :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having fun making your way through Texas even with the wind. Once again, wonderful hosts throughout the state. Glad you got to spend extra time with family. Enjoying the blog and the pictures. Only four more states until you reach Califonia. Can't wait to hear about your Colorado adventures (I'm sure there will be some climbing to do there). Safe travels.
